    Truth in the Now

    Khaire~

Something I just typed to a friend who was asking about Pagan beliefs/experiences. This friend and I often have very philosophical and in-depth discussions about Life, and I often find myself saying the most amazing stuff:

"We revere this power, this Great Mystery; it is a great dance of knowing one's deepest self and then sending it out to attain the ultimate realisation and experience of connection."

This was in response to a question concerning the Pagan purpose, our aims and ideals. In truth there is no aim or ideal. We merely walk our path and live in peace and balance in the ecstacy of the Divine. We love Life because it is a gift given to us freely, and so in essence we must give back freely. It is all an exchange of energy, a transmutation of power. This is the Truth in the Now...for the Pagan anyway.

My point to whomever is reading this blog post is that as Pagans we work to connect and commune with the vibrancy of Life...with the mysteries, greater and lesser, and ultimately with the 'Ultimate Reality'. What is this but the nature of ways?

We are each capable of being vessels for divine inspiration. Indeed we are all material expressions of a force that yearns to know itself. It expands and contracts and in so doing the Love-gates open and we are born into form to embark on the voyage of Truth for Truth's sake. It is beauty and power and love and serenity. It is Magick, and this is the Witch's highest principle.

And remember...we are who we are, never forget that, and that is the origin, there is no time, but that which we impose to create stricture and procession, there is merely change and the rest reflects that.

    Blessed be my family~

    Khaire & Blessings~

    Blessings!

First of all I would like to say that I am very pleased that we now have a Pagan-specific 'myspace-type' networking place! It's excellent! Very cool indeed.

Now to introduce myself. My name is Gede. I am an 18 year old male currently living in central Brisbane. My ancestral (Craft) name is Dobhair, which is old Irish for water and was given to me once upon a solar eclipse by my mother's ancestors, lovely memories. My father is Balinese and a devout Hindu and I was raised in a very spiritually open-minded house by my mother.

I came to the Craft after a lot of soul-searching when I was 12 and discovered an amazing depth within my soul and a great deal of potential for new growth. Since that time I have never looked back and my Craft is my very breath, it is my heartland and my soul.

My path is an interesting one. I began Wiccan, as I think most of us tend to do, but then soon realised that it was not for me. I then became rapidly eclectic, but always keeping in mind that each culture and mythos is sacred and powerful and must not be muddied or tainted for the sake of one's own ego. For that reason I was always very hesitant to invoke specific deities and in truth kept my faith in the idea of the Great Mother Goddess and Father God, but I yearned for something more. That something came with Persephone and she has changed my life. Persephone opened the door to a new reality. One in which there are many beings, of light and shadow and all shades in between. I am now decidely Hellenic in my ritual, with Celtic and spontaneous, tribal flavouring!

I am also a dedicant and co-founder of the Coven of the WildWood, which is a shamanically-inspired and ecstacy-driven group of young Witches in Brisbane. We have circles every week (either study or esbat) and both outer and inner courts join together for the lessers Sabbats, however only the Inner Court convene at the greater festivals. If you are interested our coven's website is http://members.optusnet.com.au/wildwoodcoven/

So there you have it! I am looking very forward to making new friends here!

     Namaste, Dobhair~
